I've was looking to obtain a driver's license, which is Class C. But I found out that the trade I want requires a Class A or B license. Now I hate the DMV for their tricky ways.

Why is there different types of driver's license?

  1. Usually having to do with driving certain types of vehicles. Here in Maryland you need a different license to drive an 18wheeler than a passenger car or light truck. Same for motorcycles. It has to do with the level of skill required to operate them.
