I'm tired of opening the local paper and reading this person died, this person killed that person. Gas prices have risen. This many died in a bombing in the Middle East. Death this, destruction that. Tornado, flood, hurricane... Where is the good news?!

Yes, there is tons of bad stuff going on right now, but what about good news? News that doesn't make you think the world is going to end as we know it?

Here, here is my good news. My kitty is recovering wonderfully after her "alteration" and she is getting along with her new sister--finally.

Give some good news, I'm sick of hearing the 'bad' stuff.

  1. http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/

Their top story is about pets helping the flooding families in Iowa be reunited with their families. That is good news.

  2. I worked a pet adoption event today and I think a really great home for one of our dogs might come through!  That would be so awesome.  What was so cool was, this guy fell in love with this dog.  He kept coming back to check on him, see if anyone was interested in him, took pictures of him, called his finance about him several times, etc.

Nice to hear kitty is recovering well.

  3. Good things like love and happiness happening in the world doesn't bring about as much media revenue as bad things such as war and hate crimes. Government and those that control the media wish to implement a state of fear upon society to enhance their control of the population. In effect, enlarging their military and police forces creating an illusion of patriotism by those in control.

After all, remember 9/11 and the flag burning by some people from the Middle East that was showed on one of the major news channels during that day? It was just a scare tactic to incite the people of the US to declare war before even examing the case at hand.

NOW, thanks to the good old media, our patriots and those in charge implemented the Patriot Act in a matter of 3 days that allows the government to know where I've been on the Internet, trace my phone calls, and arrest me without charges. Thank you violent media machine.

The best thing to do is fall in love and run away to the countryside with your lover before it's too late...

  4. Because the news likes to focus on the bad.

AND you have to take into account that not a lot of good is going on right now, and when good things do happen, they show them.
