Why is there no Ikea in Mexico?

Question

I'm really in love with Ikea, but apparently Mexico wasn't blessed with that Swedish name and goodness in furniture that we all know and love. In a few years I'll be going down there to study, but how will I furnish my home? :(

Does anyone know if Ikea will be coming to MX any time soon?

Ach, I know, man, I WISH there was an Ikea here!! But then I guess it's better to support the local economy anyway - Ikea do well enough! I do miss my flatpacked Swedish treats though! :)

No Ikea in Mexico, there is none, believe me and if some body has IKEA furniture probably they bought it in the US and later sended to Mexico some how.

Most of the time is because the politics on each company and unfortunely they don´t see that here is an important market for their products,

IKEA could be a great success in Mexico, but their CEO probably don´t think so.

Same thing happens with Apple I tunes store, we can´t buy music from that site.

but its a corporate thing, believe me.

Really? Is there not? I thought they'd infiltrated the entire world! Surely in Mexico you'll find some of that beautiful real furniture for which our Mexican amigos are famous to furnish your home...?

mmmm Ä° used to visit Ikea in Canada and i found out very interesting things because there were not much options to buy furniture other than it and the Brik..but honestly in mexico there are several stores to sell nice furniture plus we also have hand made furniture wich is part of our handcraft and is unique..if you wanna a get quality one furniture you can look for Liverpool Sears or El palacio de Hierro to furniture your home with a very good Quality and nice furniture...we dont need Ikea at all honestly...

Well Really I have a house on mexico and on U.S and I seen ikea im both places, so if theres no ikea where you live that most you are a country girl u know farm ranch's. and I'am a city girl where theres a million stores.
