Why is there no Wikipedia article on an important person like James B. Meigs?

Someone as influential as the Editor of Popular Mechanics should have a Wikipedia entry. Why doesn't he?

There is no Wikipedia entry because, quite simply, no one has written one.  Wikipedia is available for the general public to add things to or edit.  That means that there is no one central person making sure everything about everything is in there.  It's up to who ever wants to add it.

I had never HEARD of "James B. Meigs" until you asked this question... guess he is one of those famous people you have never heard of... but the magazine is great... have read it for years.
