I mean it is easy to protest about stuff far away from our local communities, but why not protest against the cutting of emergency services whenever there is a budget crunch, against cutting of services that help out people in times of need, which is usually the first programs to go, and why no protests against the automobile companies for making cars that are gas hogs and parts hogs, no protests against the pharmaceutical companies for rising drug prices, lobbying to raise premiums, and why no protests against the lobbyists who rally against better mass transportation.

  1. Because people recognize that protesting these things will not do any good.

Another issue is that people tend not to be impressed by protesters who are complaining but are not offering any realistic solutions.

For example - if you are complaining about budget cuts to government services you should be able to tells us what other government services should have their budgets cut to free up the necessary funds.

The automakers build the cars that the consumers are willing to buy.

When you pay for medicine you are also paying for the hundreds of millions of dollars it cost to develop that medicine.

Mass transit systems tend to run aground on 'taxpayer revolt' issues.  (Most mass-transit systems lose money.)

  2. It has to start somewhere. If you know what you are talking about, go for it yourself.

  3. Go and start protesting. people have been conditioned by the media brainwashing system to no longer stand up to authority and power.
