They built a modern prison but the prison system has not seemed to improve. Does anyone care at all?

  1. there is no parole system??? I didn't know that. The whole barbadian government and its system sucks. As a matter of fact the Caribbean has a lot of c**p they call laws and regulations.

  2. Nope there is no Parole.  Parole is a US invention.... So we wouldn't have inherited that in our British based justice system....I figure if you're bad enough for a judge to rule that you need to be locked up, then common sense would say away you should go.

We don't really need to have criminals getting out after they've murdered someone so like in the states, they can go and murder one more person while on parole.

Persons can appeal their case all the way up to the British Privy Council or the Caribbean Court of Justice in the mean time though... So it is likely they would get a fair trial in going before all those different justices.

The British system also inherrently doesn't have 1st, 2nd, or 3rd deegree murder like you all have in America also....  If you commit murder period, you're responsible.  There's no getting off on technicalities like they have in other countries where they reward the criminals all the time.

Barbados isn't very strict, I point to how lenient the police are with those mini buses even though it is against the law to blast loud music out the vehical window so the whole neighborhood can hear, or overcrowd your passengers with six in a row yet they still take on that activity...

Ohh well still the #1 developing country in the world...  About to turn into a developed country.
