  1. There isn't any pink in a rainbow because pink isn't a primary color.

    It's a combination of red (a primary color) being diluted with white a (shade).


  2. Pink is white and red.  The white is disrupted by the refraction, so there's none there to make pink.

    The primary colors are RGB; the secondary colors are Y, cyan, and magenta; the tertiary colors are OV; then there's I as a quaternary color (along with red-orange, yellow-orange, maroon, etc.)  As for why there's ROYGBIV, those are just the colors somebody had an easy name for, not that those are the only colors in a continuum.

  4. The colours in the rainbow are not "primary colours." They are the monochromatic colours. Pink is not a monochromatic colour. There is no single wavelength of light that is perceived by the eye as pink.
