Why is there no "save as draft" feature for Yahoo Group posts?

Today I lost a lengthy status report to my Yahoo Group by accidentally navigating to another screen. It seems rather primitive to not have a "save as draft' button on a site where users compose messages. One sometimes has to navigate away to check a fact. It seems the only solution is to compose in another application or send messages into the group via email or copying a message at regular intervals while composing. My apologies if there is some way to save prior to actually sending but I sure don't see it.

Yahoo groups really isn't an e-mail server/ provider and never has had the save draft feature. not sure of any group provider that does.

since yahoo does not have this feature- best to compose it else where then copy and paste it to the group.
