Why is there no reaction when copper(Cu) is added with iron nitrate(FeNO3) ?

  1. Because Fe is higher in emf electromotive force ) than cu , so Cu can not replace Fe in reaction  


  2. Because when Cu is added to FeNO3

    then Fe is more reactive than Cu and therefore Cu cannot displaces Fe from its aqueous solution and hence reaction does not takes place as no giving or taking of ions does not takes place.

  3. because Cu is more tend to stay in its atom compared to Fe... refer reactivity series.

  4. Copper is less reactive
