Why is there no video shoot function on iphone?

i need to know why apple has decided not to include video camera on i phone thanks

I would imagine it's to save on bandwidth costs (people will record videos and then e-mail their friends, eating up their 'unlimited' bandwidth). But of course, Apple doesn't even include a cut/paste feature, so they could just deem it unnecessary in their opinion?

On jailbroken (hacked) iPhones, an app that can record video exists (still in the worksbut looks promising).

Hard to say if it'll ever be found on the official app store though (as Apple approves all app store content before it's available).
