Why is there not a join this group button on my group?

Why is there not a join this group button on my group?

you'd need to log out on the web page and then go to your group site to see what non members would see. as long as you're signed in, you wont see the join tab-

also if the group is closed, it wnt have this tab at all

There is but it only appears to those that are considering joining your group.  When the owner creates the group they don't see the "Join this Group" button.  They will instead see the "Leave this Group" button.

If you are already a member of the group (or you started / created it) you won't see the blue button.
