  1. We can't pull off the accent.

  2. Everybody getting way too technical with this question.  Their skin just cant stand the heat, no melanin in their skin......

  3. It is NOT correct to say there are 'few' whites in Jamaica. There are many people of ALL races and complexions in Jamaica, including 'European whites'.

Growing up in Jamaica, EVERY phase of my life had this mix of races, from elementary school, to high school, university and even now as a businessman. Color and racial variety is a part of Jamaican life.

If you are asking about why the population is predominantly of African descent, then the answer to that would be the HUGE AFRICAN slave workforce that was 'imported' 200 years ago.

Always remember that history didn't stop there.

  4. Sorry, but in Jamaica we don't see black and white, we see neighbours, our motto is : Out of many one people. we have no colour boundaries,we all dance to reggae music and eat ackee and salt-fish,cornmeal dumplins, yellow yams and roasted breadfruit..we are people of the rainbow. One Love, One Heart, One Aim, One Destiny.

  5. it depends where you live. if you live in the rich ares. yes you'll see a few of them. but they are mostly on the northen coast

  6. the same reason why there are few blacks in Switzerland

  7. this iz a realli dumb question...jamaica iz full ofppl of all races it is just that the ratio  of blacks 2 whites was so great during slavery like 10 to 39 blacks 2  whites .. do u think the would jus disappear..it also depends on where u go around the country ..jus lyk ne other country

  8. well when jamaica gained it's independence most white people when with the british.
