  1. You ever see children of all colors play with each other?  They don't care what color you are. I guess racism is a fear learned after childhood. Ignorance? I don't know, apathy? I don't care? One solution seems likely to involve children.

  2. Racism is created by unfair sharing of resources among races. Either it is a rationale for one group as an elite or a point of contention about the special treatment of a group. If you listen to the racist grievances of anyone other than a rabid ideologue you will find that a lot of it is about the sharing of resources and how people feel immigrants are being treated better or that they are taking and lowering the standards of jobs. This lowering of standards is motivated by the fact that peopel accross the globe have differing standards of living and that immigrantsare desperate to get a foothold and claw themselves out of poverty. Domestic peoples have every right to be angry that they are put out of jobs and lose money but their anger can often be misdirected in the form of racism instead of against a poorly performing society where someone has to be put on the breadline. If jobs werent scarce and immigrants werent used as cheaper labour these problem would be rectified. However it is the logic of capitalism that inequality and the driving down of the costs of things will exist. Therefore so long as it exists so will racism. These however were also problems in socialist societies where racial groups were used by the establishment as scapegaots for problems. These societies were of course grotesque charicatures of what socialism was meant to be, it is unclear whether socialism could emerge in what is as of yet its theoretical form. But nothing short of the elimination of ineqaulity will stop racism.

The former type of racism of superiority emerges from some races trying to defend their lot through legal and ideological rationales. Such as the Germans, South Africans and Americans did. It is also an epiphomenom of ineqaulity.

  3. We fear that which is different or that we don't understand.

So Yes, ignorance is a big part of it.

Progress is very possible. In the last 150 years or so, the world has progressed a lot.

Tolerence is only the first step.

Tolerence kind of means, you still see them as an enemy, but you aren't powerful enough to fight them at the moment, so you have a agreement to not fight for now.

    Acceptance is better.

You agree that there will be differences. Not everybody needs to play your style of football. Rugby, soccer, grid iron can all co-exist.- So can racially and culturally different groups.

    The best is a brotherhood.

We are all people from one origin, even if the origin was so far in the past, it is unclear. But there is only one species of mankind, so we are all related - We are brothers and sisters

  4. Ignorance, lack of responsibility, and fear. The same problem that there is with the race card.

Progress can be made if people will simply accept responsibility  for their own actions and accept one another as individuals instead of singling one another and themselves out based upon race.
