Why is there so many frequent calls from telemarketing?

Telemarketing companies use an outbound phone dialing system, it will repeatedly assign called numbers to other agents and even #'s tagged with 'Do Not Call' status, because its a stupid computerized machine.

Until someone removes your number from that system calls will continue, regardless of dont call status!

Because they have your number. Seriously you could sign up for the Do Not Call Registry. I did last summer and the calls have almost completely stopped. I get one or two every now and again and when I do I ask them how they got my number since I signed up for the list. They try to hurry off the phone but I always get a name and number. When I have that I return to the Do Not Call Registry web site and I report the persons who called me.
