Why is there so many skeptics in Ghost belief?

I think it's obvious its real.. you just have to realize that no ghost will show there face to you.. this isn't casper... are people just afraid of getting scared at night by believing the existence? I mean America is going through the same issue with aliens and because there hiding the fact not to scare people in the Aliens existence. come on.. not everything is rainbows and lolipops.

It's not easy for everyone to believe in something that they haven't experienced, nor should it be.  Even with my experiences (lots of long stories that I don't have time to talk about) I don't believe in ghosts (as in spirits of dead people) and alien life forms that are visiting here.  I lived in a house that was haunted by spirits and I once saw a UFO shaped like a flying saucer.  The UFO was seen by quite a few of us.  But I have good reasons for not believing that spirits are actualy dead people trying to communicate and, as with spirits, I don't see why aliens don't make any sort of real effort to let us know they exist.  Just land in a small town and make contact with the locals.  It's that easy.

people who don't belive are idoits we have know clue whats out there i've seen ghosts and aliens and have used magic  people have 2 get that stupid little thing in there brain that tells them what possible and whats not out anything is possible but u have 2 belive people thought that earth was flat they tought it was IMPOSSIBLE 2 go around the world

Because it's irrational.

If you're religious then you can not believe in ghosts logically.

As Christians we believe the spirit ascends immediately out of the body to where it came from. It does not dwell around on Earth after we die.

There are also no such thing as what you'd call "aliens," I mean where are these aliens exactly? Powerful life-forms thousands of times more advanced than us, and they still haven't come to absorb us yet? Who is this, Tom Cruise?

It's not obvious that ghosts are real. There's no real proof that they exist. As an atheist, I say God isn't real, and neither are spirits or ghosts. Aliens from outer space aren't real either. Stories about ghosts and men from space are so ridiculous that no one educted in science could believe them. Who could hide such things from us? Politicians are caught with their pants down every day. If they can't hide their own bad behavior, they can't hide ghosts or little green men either.

There are very good reasons to be skeptical about ghosts, ET's, Bigfoot, etc. There is no real proof that such things exist. I'm Catholic, and some of our saints wrote that dead people stay in their graves until Judgement Day. Any educated Catholic knows ghosts aren't real. People educated in science know ET's can't come to earth. Einstein's theory of relativity proves that. It's obvious that ghosts and ET's aren't real.

Because souless people don,t believe in heaven or h**l either. The hard part is to explain to someone that you have had an experience with something supernatural without be accused of being a crackpot. I've experienced souls from both heaven and h**l and one experience with an alien soul that scared the life out of me( trust me, i was not under any drugs or alcohol at the time). I,ve had family members who have had brushings with ghosts and even the souls of pets after they have died, so, don't feel you have to prove to anyone that you have experienced the spirit world. Feel blessed that you are so special that the spirits come to you for a reason no matter if they are good or bad.

If the government is hiding the fact of aliens existing or ghosts being real, they might have a good reason. People would freak. It would be like another witch hunt, with people going around shooting people because someone looked "weird" so they must be an Alien.

I think ghosts are real, but it's generally too uncomfortable a topic for people to deal with. I think it's humans that people should be afraid of.

yeah! those who haven't seen things happen are a little harsh.

i believed in UFOs way before me and my friend saw one.

things happened around a resent death that would of gave some non believers a heart attack,but i knew what was happening.

and only acknowledged it for a natural process,no need for fear.

its the live ones will hurt you.

Why are there so many skeptics about belief in ghosts? Because some people are logical. It is obvious that ghosts are not real, and neither are ET aliens. As an atheist, I know death is final, so there is nothing to live on as a ghost. Even if one is a Christian and is well-educated, he does not believe in ghosts. St. Augustine, Duns Scotus, Thomas Aquinas and other Christian scholars wrote that the dead do not arise until Judgement Day. The  most intelligent Christians and atheists agree that ghosts do not exist...so you are quite obviously wrong.

because people would fear these things  i know there real and i have no fear of them but what happens is the government wants to control what people believe
