  1. I don't think it's just kiwi bashing - it's like a bash-fest for everyone!  It might just feel that way because you're a kiwi - it looks pretty much the same for any other nation whether you're an Aussie, Englishman, French, whatever.  Anecdotally though, most the conversations I've been privy to have tended to blame the referee before the players.  NZers do seem to be pretty hard on their players though but there are still plenty of people being positive about them which is cool!

  2. Because during the 4 years between the World Cups, they usually dominate  rugby and give every other team a spanking.  So now they lose and everone think they have done a fantastic thing.

  3. What is more disheartening is the flogging the ALL BLACKS are receiving because of the loss, and what is worse, most of these comments are from ALL BLACK supporters. On Sunday morning we were all in disbelief at the final whistle, gutted even. But if that's how we were feeling, just imagine how our boys felt. They're the ones that were trying in vain to live up to everyone's expectations, their own and the pressure would have been immense. Support is about being there, and being loyal. For the ABs, right now they're counting on that, on us. Why would they want to come back, only to find their so called support has failed when they need it most. They're an amazing team, the best even, they don't deserve to be overshadowed by one game when their record  says so much more.

  4. Bro, no one really cares about heartland New Zealand. There is too much champagne to be drunk.  But If you believe  that most kiwis got over it with in thirty . . . then . . . well . . . must be true, hey bro ?

    Thanks for sharing

  5. I agree fully with you mate. Yes it does hurt but after a few minutes of ranting, I think we as a country have accecpted the result & moved on. The press should do likewise.

  6. I think your right I was over it within an hour but the media are just a bunch of w*nkas they only care about all the p*ssy aucklanders from posonby who think its the end of the world, us country folk got over it and watched some air new zealand cup to get over it not hard eh?

  7. TPS.... Tall Poppy Syndrome.

The tallest poppy in the field is the first to be cut at harvest.

  8. It's coming from a minority, in the same way that a Kiwi minority is making headlines with the death threats levelled against the referee.

There are people in this world from ALL different backgrounds who are just not capable of being reasonable and measured.

  9. of course the media play a big role in this. On the french site of yahoo this morning, there was an article saying that the ref's life was in danger... You can imagine the reaction of french people after that on forums...

  10. Just have a look round this forum: "Should the Southern Hemisphere teams leave the IRB?" "how much did Laporte bribe Barnes with?" It is the same in forums everywhere. The IRB entry in Wikipedia has also been vandalised (see source).

Most Kiwi fans aren't as bitter and are reasonable people, but the minority that are bitter appear to be a very vocal one.

  11. Yes we lost and France Won. Both teams played an awesome game and it was one of the best games of this Rugby World Cup I had ever seen.

Both teams played with passion and lots of pride, it was a great game with frills, excitement, drama, action and lots of hard hits resulting to the lucky team to win.

Yes we lost and a big thank you to France for teaching us something new that we will learn from.

So for those Kiwi Bashers out there that continue to put us down, we don't care!!

We will continue to support our boys and be number 1 team in the World, with or without the Cup as it is the hearts of those that love to dream that we aim for.

  12. yep I agree with you and most of the panel, extremely gutted about the loss although im going out on a limb here...... it took me more than 30mins to get over it (completely), delayed reaction for me, actually watched the reply again (later that afternoon), guess what double whammy - forgot about the previous game and thought the ABs were really going to win this time! oh well.

btw yep fully over it. Have moved on already.

I am and will continue to be a supporter of the ABs.

  13. Ho hum I don't know why but life goes on.  I wish we had won and even was preparing a question on why we lost, only that we did and that's enough for me.  Another four years.

  14. I thought it was weird too cos I was hearing all these kiwis going, "just get over it its just a game" (like 3 times in our local newspaper) and I havent heard of anybody who has been overly upset about it! Yes the country has been upset, but I havent heard any death threats or violence or overreacting or anything. Its weird, I don't think NZ overreacted this time but everyone expected them to.
