After Mccain won, the vast majority Republicans backed him. Now it seems like Clinton and other Democrats are planning against obama.

  1. There is actually more disunity among the GOP Party this General Election more than past times. The Neo-Cons are distrustful of McCain's policies. The Moderate Republicans are either jumping ship and supporting Senator Obama or electing to passively stay at home. Its well reported and documented that more Republicans have switch parties this election than ever before. Either choosing to be Independents or Democratic, or some third party.

  2. The left is always disunified b/c it really doesn't exist in the same way the right does. On the left, everyone wants to play Dr. King or JFK or Gandhi or Che. That's why they fight. Also, they love to hijack a left of centers wave to gain undo influence exceeding their actual power.

  3. Because Democrats know victory is within reach... probable, even. That brings everyone to the table with a big appetite. In the case of Republicans, they know they have an extreme uphill battle and only near-total unity gives them a chance.

  4. it's dumb to classify our democracy into just two factions in which everyone within each party views everything the same. people are more complex than that and i am sure not every republican backs McCain. I kind of hope their is more disunity within the parties so they can split and the american people wont be defined as democratic or republican

  5. In the beginning god created the heavens and the erath etc. This draws the yin yang symbol which is about division. It divides what is. we are divided from our first years by what outr parents were tought and by our early years at school. good and bad right and wrong yin and yang. Its all the same what is great for you might be evil for me. Theyre just making problems where none exist in order to hold on to high paying jobs that involve little or no work. And the worst part is the public accept and in most cases support it by working for them to keep them theire. Its your fault.? lol

  6. Because the bi-partisan effort has a need to affiliate themselves with whomever may acquire a political office with a high level.

  7. Many Democrats are coming to the sad realization that their beloved party has been taken over by the far left loons that control it and many are disatisfied to say the least with having someone like Obama thrust into their laps like the lost puppy he is.  Your going to see an awful lot of traditional Democrats crossing over and voting for McCain. Obama's sinking and they wont be able to plug the holes in his ship fast enough. the tides against him now and getting stronger.

  8. Because Democrats can never make up their mind, they want CHANGE and they are finally realizing how stupid Obama really is.

  9. Par for the course since 1968....

it is easy for a party to cross the line from "mass appeal" to "pandering to the masses" and when Bobby died the Party lost it's center...

since then it has been a struggle between the Old Guard (the billionaire "Great Society" dems like Teddy)..and the factions of the party that rise up with each new change of fashion...

Carter was an outsider who pissed off the Kennedy faction and ruined the Party for decades....

Clinton was an outsider who pissed off the Kennedy faction because Bill was "all about Bill" and sold out the likes of Tip O'Neil, DP Moynihan and Kennedy in order to keep his approval numbers up (ie signing numerous Republican-backed reforms)..

Kennedy knows that Obama is his best shot at regaining control of the Party...that's why he backed him as soon as Clinton showed weakness in the primaries...and that's why every "old guard" guy...from Kerry to Rockefeller...jumped on board (or should we say, abandoned the Clinton ship)..

The Clintons know this as well...they know that losing to Obama will mean taking the Party back 30 years...that is why their faction was so vicious in the primaries and so luke-warm in its support now...

look beyond the rhetoric....what is going on now is an extension of the Clinton Presidency...while violence and instability rule the World...the democrats are bickering over who will get to rule the Party for the next 20 years...

  10. i'm an independent. and the Republican party is defintely much more divided.

  11. A lot of information came out on obama since the primaries...
