  1. The Gibson SG is around $4000.  Odds are you're looking at something with a mislabeled price, or you're looking at something completely different... like a controller for Rock Band... or Guitar Hero.  Maybe those guitars are modeled after the Gibson SG.  I'd check that out.

  2. One is BestBuy is not a music per say store. If you ask one of the Sale's person what is a pedal effect, most likely will send you to another department.

Guitar Center is an instrument store who are knowledgeable about music in mind.

To answer your question a Gibson SG for 150 is unheard of unless it is made in a place where the can produce 400 guitars a day compare to a shop that produces 10 a day.

Its all about the Quality, Quality Quality. I was just taking about this kind of thing with another local music store. Any cheap guitar you buy will be very disappointment unless its a guitar for just practice purposes. Not even for the beginners.

  3. more than likely they are not the same model.
