Why is there such a lack of Black character based prime time (or anytime) showes??

Most prime time shows don't have leading Black characters. Blacks are always the extra playing into the ghetto stereotype. Most people don't want to see that so the shows cater to what audiences want to see. But there are many Black sitcoms on UPN.

There are latino characters. What about George Lopez? Carlos Mencia? xP

I am mad the in sitcoms the black person is usually placed under one role. Loud, rude, and Aggressive.

But I guess that's what the ''people'' want to see.

The last one I remember is My Wife & Kids - why did they cancel it?!?! It was my favorite show..
