  1. Just watch this little video please.

  2. You forgot the people who can't get health insurance because they have a health problem.

And no there isn't a huge amount of waiting.

  3. These aren't misconceptions at all, they're just simple truths.

Here's the basic problem:  NOBODY, not even rich people, can afford health care.  the cost of insurance has nothing to do with it.  Insurance is just a way of making healthy people pay your doctor bills.  This problem (the cost of health care) has nothing to do with universal health care.

Americans are the sickest they've ever been, and they're living the longest they've ever lived.  An average person can look forward to 40 or 50 years of sickness.

Ift the government is paying the doctor bills, how is the government going to deal with that problem? They'll deal with the way other countries with universal health care deal with it.  What else can they do?

  4. I'll tell you what, instead of asking questions on Yahoo why not look into Canada or the U.K.'s health care system. There is no misconception...it is a BAD idea. The government needs less control of our lives and you would like to give them more....PLEASE! Self reliance and responsibility is always the correct answer. OH! by the way insurance is a way to minimize risk to yourself for things that are too costly to handle on your own. If you don't think that you can get health care in this country then go to an E.R. and see if they turn anybody away ( including the poor or the illegal aliens ) which is another "blessing" that our Government has given us. 1 final thing...if you think our health care is substandard then you are free to go elsewhere and see how you like it.

  5. Because the government has proven it cannot effectively manage anything!
