Okay there ARE a lot of frauds out there, dealing with psychic, supernatural phenomena, and what not, but there are many positive priniciples from various non-Christian religions that do have some good meaning to it.

Hinduism/Vedic path, Buddhism, some aspects of Wicca and Pagan religions, and just spirituality as a whole. Even some aspects of astrology and psychic can be good when for the right intentions.

A lot of Christians have issues with it because it doesn't deal with Jesus and they consider it "Satanic" for God knows what reason, and a lot of atheists/skeptics have an issue because of all the frauds out there and because there isn't material proof and because of one experiment that "debunked" the whole thing and what not.

I strongly believe in religious/spiritual tolerance, and I don't believe every phenomena or new age practice out there, but I don't think it should be attacked. I find it more peaceful than fundamentalist Christianity ever will be and I personally

  1. I think things are only attacked and hated by people who don't have anything better to do with themselves but attack and hate what others believe in.  If you're a Christian, excellent, be the best Christian you can be.  If you're a Satanist, excellent, be the best Satanist you can be.  If you're a Pagan, excellent, be the best Pagan you can be.  It bothers me that people find it necessary to rip down someone else to make them feel better about their own religion or beliefs.  But religion, while a communal experience sometimes, is best experienced in solitude.  Is an entity that requires you hate someone else simply for what they believe in something you want to follow?

  2. There are many people open to 'New Age' beliefs, you do have to be careful who and how you say things, like at work, because I know if I say certain things I'm exploring people look at me like I'm crazy, such as, in another life I was a warrior.  I really do feel that might be true but if I say that to the wrong person they'll think I'm crazy because 'New Age' is kinda new and people don't like change.

Actually 'New Age' isn't new at all.

  3. WOW!  You really have a lot to say, for someone that isn't picking sides.  Or, wait...

       ...You are picking sides, right?

    Wait...

              ...What???

Okay!  You have an agenda.  Right?  Write back and I'll believe you.

And we're not that different.  :)

  4. I think you mistake "hate" for indiference. Though some see similar they are quite different.

Ex: I don't give a royal hoot for satanism and their followers; don't hate them, just hope they leave me be.
