Why is this OK?

I really like Yahoo! Answers. I think it's a great idea. But WHY, when it is apparent that so many of the questions asked are by students trying to get their homework done for them, do people answer these questions? Why not just direct them to the text book or give them the appropriate formula to solve an equation instead of giving the answer? How does this help them in their supposed education?

Because sometimes, you understand things better when another person explains them to you. Not like they can go to the teacher and ask. Would you rather try to learn calculus by yourself or have someone who knows show you. It is not always as simple as look in your text book. Yes some are too lazy, but I wish I had access to Yahoo answers when I was taking the difficult to understand science classes.

because they dont wanna take the time to actually do it so instead of doing the problem the waste there time on yahoo teying to make other people do it when the could've had it done a long time ago....there lazy
