Why is this!!??? funny but interesting question...?

why to people eatfish and chips and seafood by the sea or in an ocean themed resturant, but people dont eat chicken/beef by a farm or in a farmed themed resturant? do people like to be reminded what they are eating!? funny just wondered what other people thought?

The other half and i went past a chicken farm once and the smell was so bad that i was sick on the way.

Because the fish should be fresher in restaurants located near the sea. It is very important for your seafood to be a fresh as possible. Ever go to Martha's Vineyard, you must try the scallops, they pull them out of the ocean each morning for the local restaurants.

well they let people pick lobsters and cook them while their still alive and kicking but they wouldnt do that with a cow or a chicken. i think it comes down to the fact that people think eating fish isnt as bad as eating meat. thats why some veggies eat fish and think its ok.

they eat it because it just shows for what kind of food your will be served at that restrant and meat places have like elk heads and many other stuff mounted on the walls to show what u will be served.

I prefer the smell of the ocean, and not of Cowsh**t !

because in a costal town the fish is fresh...whereas genearlly fish that is bought inland, has travled by train or road and is not as fresh and not as nice...fish is best on the day it is caught...unlike beef etc.

Hmmm..... I haven't really noticed this per se. But I did find it very odd to see a seafood restaurant at Sea World in San Diego so close to the killer whales. I was a bit disturbed by that. I don't eat seafood. I just don't like it.
