  1. Waa Waa, i think i hear a baby crying...WAA!!! Quit your bi.tchin, baby.

  2. alot probably cant answer because they burned up their flag

  3. I am 22 year old Eagle Scout and I know every answer to your questions with out using the net... it is amazing how you judge millions of people on a few you know.  You may call my generation stupid but look at yourself being so ignorant...

  4. i'm not an expert at flag etiquette, but i am a novice at spotting irony.

  5. Well, I know the 13 stripes are for the 13 original colonies, and that's about it. I fail to see how not knowing that, or the rest of that information, makes one stupid, or why I or anyone else should care.

  6. Speak for yourself.

  7. I didn't realize there was more to the question but I will answer the first one with:

    No Child Left Behind.

  8. As a retired military officer I'm more disturbed by those who are 40+ years of age and too lazy to check with a veterans's group, the local military recruiter, or even an Eagle Scout regarding display of the flag on a motor vehicle. It's never flown on the left! My personal nickname for that crowd is the "Petey Patriot Brigade".

  9. last i checked knowing pointless trivia about the freakin' flag doesn't count as "being smart." that's called memorizing useless data as a showing of "patriotism." i show my patriotism by questioning the government constantly and expecting more from it than your generation has provided for me, not by remembering how to fold the d**n flag.

    thanks :)

  10. Its possible someone from that generation would want to know why you don't bother with spell check.

Simply not knowing something isn't cause for cussing, neither for that matter is a difference of opinion.

I knew all of your questions, without looking them up, but that doesn't mean much since I'm sixty and we learned about that in fifth grade.

  11. There are greater things to worry about than this trivial etiquette, don't you think?

  12. My kids won't be!  Bank on that one.

  13. This generation is stupid but American flag trivia is even stupider.  That stuff is just for learning in 3rd grade, and just like calculus and physics is useless for everyone, it's just pointless trivia.

  14. Hate to wake you up, but it is YOUR generation that is teaching us.

  15. Maybe it is because they are spending more time in foreign language study, multicultural sensitivity, and s*x education than how to put a flag on a casket. And yes I can answer the questions.

  16. 13, 7 red and 6 white - to represent 13 colonies

star Field on the top left corner - whether horizontal or vertical.

Fold lengthwise twice with field to the outside. make triangular folds until it is a triangle, tuck in the edge - only field visible (12 folds total)

At night it should be taken in, unless well lit

  17. Considering some public schools make kids sign waivers to say the Pledge of Allegiance, I wouldn't say they're stupid, but ignorant.

  18. isn't the 13 stripes for luck?

  19. This generation is stupid about a lot more things than flag etiquette. That is something you can look up easily. Common sense and courtesy are much more more difficult.

  20. Public education !!

  21. If I answer without the internet, how will you know? Should I yell out the window and hope you're listening?

  22. Because you can use the internet for everything.

Not knowing stuff about the flag doesn't mean people are stupid though. Lots of people just don't care to know those things about the flag.

  23. Public education.  This is why it needs to be better funded.  We need our kids taught by better paid; albeit still incompetent, teachers.
