  1. I think smoker hit it dead on; the enemy won't care if we're there to stay or on the way out, they might not even know.  They see American soldier, or Marine, and they shoot.

  2. i think the us has to stay,

    to maintain order,

but there will be casualties because the country is divided into different sect and u cant please everyone and u need the "oil"

  3. It hard to answer the question in a short space. no on can predict the outcome of the soldiers leaving vs. staying.

It is a big mayhem and we never know how it will end.

  4. Easy answer  " Because We Still Are Trying To Take Their OIL" And Bush wont pull them all out at the same time,, ITS time for them to come home!! They all need to come home!  The soliders are doing their jobs by listening to what they are told!! God let them please all come home we've lost enough men already,,,

  5. Because there are still terrorists who don't want peace.

  6. It's war and it is sad.  The media sells sensationalism.  How many papers would be sold if the headlines read, "This week in Iraq no Americans were killed".?

    Not many.

  7. You know the answer.

The war to topple Saadam was over in a matter of weeks,

Iraq now has a new government army and police force which along with its subjects is subject to attack from numerous groups.

The American, and British, and some other nations forces are still there because they have a commitment to the Iraqi government to provide whatever security they can whilst the Iraqi forces get up to a level where they can take it on themselves, which is still clearly a long way off.

The mistake was disbanding the Iraqi army and police force in 1993 and it is proving impossible to re-build either effectively.

When the allied troops withdraw however be ready for incredible upheavel and bloodshed in that country, far worse than we are seeing now, followed by an extremely unstable region.

So our troops are there because we made mistakes after the war.

Its now a different war, a civil and internal one, and one which we would be totally irresponsible to walk away from.

Everyone wants the soldiers home or at least deployed to where there is a just cause, not least the soldiers themselves, but you cannot just walk away from what we created.

The silly thing is that if the lunatics over there just stopped blowing each other and us up for a few months they would get what they want and all our soldiers would be home in weeks.

  8. probably down to two main reasons;

one is the simplicity that iraqis are angry of the invasion of iraq by americans and want revenge

the second is now there is no real control, some see the iraqi security forces has pro western, others just want the power for themselves and order bombings such has the cleric muqtada al sada,

there are alot of other reason though, like the pictures of the prisoners being mistreated or videos of soldiers attacking young teenage iraqis, its really messed up, a great fake war by the coallition that is getting worse with no real signs of improvement

nice one bush , your the most annoying and smug terrorist on this planet

  9. Simple- we're going against a group of people who fight until the last one of them dies. They use tactics we can't. They aren't bound by the Geneva convention like us. They will use any dirty tactic they can to kill us to hurt morale, both there and back home. As for those who think we're just going go home and everything will be fine and dandy- we ARE fighting a second war. Any of you seen the news lately? Bet if it didn't include the word Iraq, no. Afghanistan is getting worse by the day. (Not going into why I think so. I'd end up with a essay) Those soldier in Iraq would just go there.

Also THE IRAQI IS NOT ABOUT OIL! If it is, why are you paying $4 a gallon for it? The US has PLENTY of places to drill. We just can't use them for various reasons.

  10. The Iraqis dont follow rules of engagement of any types.

  11. Some people just dont want peace, because , I believe, they have not heard its full message.  But don't worry, just keep praying, and one day we will all know peace.  Peace be to you sweety.
