Why is timber and sugar exported by belize?

I really need to know this. i dk on why timber is exported ditto with sugar.please help me!!!!

Belize is a country that needs as much foreign currency as possible.  Since Belize is not a large manufacture of goods that means that it is necessary to use natural resources like timber and agricultural goods (read sugar) to earn much needed cash.

If timber and sugar are exports of Belize it is for the same reason any country exports.  To earn money.
