Question:

Why is traffic on 90 east or west so out of control? Not enough state cops patroling and ticketing.?

Each day I drive seventy-two miles on I 90 and it is like a war zone. Each driver tries to overtake every other driver at the risk of life and limb and certainly for no reason. Very few of the cars obey traffic laws and very few drive with safety in mind.

When I drive the speed limit I am constantly the focus of hostility and, almost, disdain by unruly and thoughtless drivers. It is like being in a totally unsupervised road race. I am sick of being treated like a criminal while obeying rules of the road.

I value my life and the lives of others sharing the roads with me and demand more concern from our state and interstate law enforcement agencies.

  1. It is lack of enforcement. As stated above, there is a section of I-5 around Camp Pendleton, Ca. where people routinely travel around 90MPH. The CHP obviously is not citing enough of them to slow them down.

  2. Not sure where you live, but I have been across of most of the US on I-90 and its no worse or better than any of the Eisenhower Interstate system, with the obvious exception of I-5 in Southern California.

Drive around any large city and you will see the same behaviors.  Police don't havethe ability or resources to stop every driver that is behaving badly.
