  1. The Pythagorean Theorem is really a subset of trigonometry. Trigonometry can be more useful because it is not simply restricted to right-angle triangles. The Pythagorean theorem is useful for ascertaining whether a triangle is right-angled or not, and in working out the lengths of sides. Generally, trigonometry has more uses; for example, the cosine and sine rules have a much broader applications.


  2. i think that trigonometry can be used to find angles and sides, so it is much more useful whereas pythagoras theorem is used to find side lengths
