Why is turkey killing the kurds?

im doing a report on the genocide in turkey and cant find why they are killing the kurds. please help its really important.

There is a terrorist organization named as PKK in the South-East Anatolia and this terrorist organization was found for the name of creating a Kurdish country in the South East Anatolia. However, this terrorist organization threatens and kills civilians (including Kurds), lays ambushes and mines the roads in the South East Anatolia. Untill now, over 30 thousands of people have been killed by PKK and so what you very very mistakely know about the genocide must have been about how PKK kill civilians.
