Why is uncommon sense so uncommon?

It's not as uncommon as one would think. Look around you; everywhere you look you see the lack of it.

Can common sense answer many of the questions we face in daily life?

Exactly. That's why sometimes it's bewildering to see the great lack of it's use.

For example, common sense tells you that smoking is bad for your health. So are drugs, alcohol, sun exposure, bad diets, etc. Common sense tells you that if you obey the law, you won't get into trouble, etc. Yet people don't pay attention to common sense.

We've become a society of "coulda, woulda, shoulda's."
