  1. not really you could try foreign universities or try studying via correcpondence .. with an open university.. this is for ppl with financial trouble or ppl who are working par time..

  2. You'd be surprised; if you're exceptional and get accepted to one of the really, really high-ranked schools and you're not "old money," you can get very reasonable scholarships, most of which aren't even loans, so you don't have to pay them back. But this is under the assumption that you get lucky enough to get into one of those schools.

  3. University's are not just for the rich there are plenty of grants around please go to open unis ,.of Aus, they have Meany web pages you can visit to obtain info .

  4. Not everyone who goes to college is rich. People obtain scholarships and loans everyday.

  5. That's just the type of thinking low-income people use as justification for not having attended college themselves. I almost didn't go because my parents thought that way. There are federal grants and loans that can make it very affordable.

Of course, rich people have a huge advantage for getting into colleges with lower credentials. But if you are non-Caucasians, you have a slight advantage over Caucasians with the same income because schools are always trying to be more racially diverse.

Although the admission process can sometimes be flawed, lower income people can still easily get into a decent college.
