  1. No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.

It's quite funny how those professions which are associated with good such as caregiving, preaching, and teaching are paid such awful wages

And professions which are associated with things that we consider sinful or bad like lawyers who lie or celebrities who are bad examples are overpaid

From one perspective- money is seen as sinful and anyone who is doing good could not possibly be earning good money from it.

From another perspective - caregivers are usually not required to be educated.  They can be straight out of highschool or not even have that much schooling.

  2. These are considered "entry-level" jobs, they either require no or little education.  Unfortunately these jobs are also for non-profit organizations, so they don't pay well - and Long Term Care (LTC) facilities are like this, they don't make much money, well not like a for profit organization could so they can't pay much.  However these types of positions pay a bit better and have better benefits at hospitals.  Now you know why neglect and abuse goes on in these Senior Homes or LTC , they are over-worked and under paid, so most good, caring people go to the hospitals, the c**p that can't find other jobs stay at these places.
