i've had fresh blueberries only a few times in my life. i've never had raspberries or blackberries. i went to vons to buy them cause i just had to try them. a quart of blueberries costed me $5.99, a quart of blackberries were $5.99, and 12 oz of raspberries were $6.99. i also bought a package of strawberries for $3.99 and the plums were $2.99/lb so i just bought one which was $0.81. with tax, the total was about $27. i just spent $27 on fruit. are these prices normal?

  1. because there are plenty of people who didn't worry about prices and they put them in areas where people who don't have cars can walk to and no regular stores close

  2. They are expensive because they are gourmet grocery stores with only the best of quality fruits compared to regular supermarkets like Safeway and Trader Joes. Most of their fruits are organic.

  3. You might want to blame gas prices for the price of everything which has gone up outrageously Usually it's cheaper to buy in the summer, but looks like it isn't that way this year.
