  1. Water aerobics works your muscles out. It's good for you just the same as any exercise is, but not as hard on your joints. Imagine running on a hard ground, then imagine running in deep water: your feet hit "nothing" (water), so It's not as harsh.

    I do water aerobics after I go running, because I find it quite a good wind down, and I find it relaxing.

    And to be honest, it is a cheap laugh watching the other people do it....shoot me, I'm harsh I know!!!


  2. All aerobic exercise is good for you.  Water aerobics has the distinction of being extremely low impact as, for those who have joint or muscle problems, the water supports the exerciser so the joints don't take any pounding.  

    Essentially, all the exerciser is doing is moving muscles.

    The negative of water aerobics AND swimming is that due to that decreased stress on bones and joints, swimming is the only exercise that does not prevent or reduce the occurance of osteoporosis.
