A couple of times over the last few weeks I have noticed water seeping out from underneath the fridge and across the kitchen floor.... having pulled the fridge away from the wall, there appears to be a little pan thing underneath what I take is the condensor (small, metal barrel shaped object) and this is full of water. The fridge is still operating ok, but is it dying???

  1. happens to me andd my family just empty the pan. im not completly sure but i think it mite be the water or ice mashine?

  2. Get off your lazy duff and clean the fridge.  Specifically the cooling condenser that kinda looks like your car's radiator.  It is down below with the compressor motor and the fan.  There must be dust caked in there and it is interfering with the flow of air.  It is supposed to flow freely (moved by the fan) through this 'mini radiator' and across the pan of water.  This movement evaporates the water that condenses through normal use.

But that is not happening because your housekeeping skills are not up to snuff.  You can actually buy a brush that looks like a giant pipe cleaner to remove the filth as you also vacuum.  You will also save money as the fridge will run more efficiently.

  3. This is common the drip pan you seen needs to simply slide right out and emptied..While it is out clean it with some bleach and water..this is what they are meant to be there for..simply empty the pan
