  1. Of course U dont want to drink some water that contains potassium cyanide!!

Or bate with water that stinks(Gutter water)!!

That's why u need good quality water!!

Also depends on what u r doing.

Tap water is sufficient for bathing or washing.

For drinking u need water that's germ free and contains useful minerals.

    etc.etc

  2. It's important because, you don't want to get intestinal parasites, or bacterial infections that will cause diarrhea - leading to dehydration and death.

The smell and taste is also important. Bad-tasting and foul smelling water is not pleasant to drink.

Water can make you very sick if the quality is poor. There are many water-borne diseases like cholera.

  3. you want what your drinking to be good for you

  4. Since the majority of our body and a bigger percentage of our brain is water then water quality is very important. Why else would it be necessary for our government to treat it before it gets to our homes. Even despite their treatment there simply is too much in the water that can affect our health. That is why filters, purifiers, and distilleries are popular.

First you want to address the aesthetics (taste, color, and odor). If you remove items that affect how it looks and tastes then it is more appealing to people and they will drink more. This is stuff like chloramine, chlorine, and other nominal particulates.

Then you need to worry about the items that affect our health. Stuff like VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), mercury, MTBE (Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether), radon, PCBs, chlordane, asbestos, toxaphene, cyst, turbidity, and lead. These are often found in water despite the treatment it receives before it arrives to us.

Then there still is normal bacteria and viruses in the water too. Along with the recenlyt discovered prescription drugs. The only reason why this has only been discovered recently is because nobody thought to look for them before.

So it is important to you to not only know what can be in the water and wanting it out regardless of if it come from the tap from your local water authority or a well or even a spring then water quality if very important. Even well water and springs can still get run off and have many concaminates. Since it is not regulated by the government then you never know what is in it without having it tested.

  5. Its mostly for flavour.  good quality water tastes alot better than tap water in coffee, tea, anything really.

  6. Why wouldn't water quality be important?  Go down to Mexico and drink a bunch of their tap water, then get back with me.

  7. You see in many countries with out good quality water people are having health problems, worst even there dieing cause of the poor quality water which is not a good thing. Watch the news it tells you *Why it is so important that water quality is so good for your health and well being*. Happy drinking clean water!!!

  8. There are lots of people in the U.S. that have clean water to use. But consider all the chemicals, dirt etc. that you may not know that's in some peoples water. All those things can clog up in your body. A good way to prevent that from happening is to put a glass of water in the fridge (not covered by anything) for 24 hours. That's if you don't have a purifier.

  9. Seriously???

Why don't you drink out of your toilet bowl. Maybe you'll understand then.

  10. In all fairness, use your common sense
