Why is wedsnesday for accomodation more expensive than sat,fri or thu don't make sense?

  1. Generally most hotel users during the week are on business trips and normally only stay one night, so the hotels charge more as companies paying for trips will stump up regardless of the cost.  They have more private individuals as guests at weekends, generally staying for at least three days, so have to moderate their charges a bit so as not to drive customers elsewhere.


  2. It seems in most british cities it is the same. I think it is because a lot of business people stay in the week - so that is when they are most full - so that is when they charge the most. Seems a bit stupid really but it is the only reason I can think of.

  3. Yes it is because of the business people who stay in hotels during the week and therefore prices go up. Always cheaper at the weekends in London!
