It's really quite simple when you think about it.

It makes peoples brains dis-engage and write without due care and attention whilst creating industries that they can tax or "police" thus creating jobs for "Big Brother"

Because it isn't illegal to discuss weed or other drugs or how to grow them.  It is however illegal to grow or have in your possession or use.  It is a foolish law like prohibition was and alcohol consumption.  Since it is a natural growing plant (weed) to make it illegal  is idiotic.  The use of alcohol is worse than weed but companies are making money selling this.  The fact that weed can be grown so easily so the large companies would have a really tough time making money on it is more like the reason.  Also, if t were legalized the government couldn't regulate it easily since most people would grow their own.  

I don't smoke and or sell so this isn't why I am saying this.

because the government wouldn't be able to tax the pot that's grown and smoked on your property. Everyone would be growing it causing the govt to lose out on money. Once they've figured out how to get their money from it then it will be legal.

Because we have freedom of speech, so talking about it (even in print) is totally acceptable.

As for why it's illegal, that's a lengthy and complicated question, but by and large you can thank the religious right, and probably Southern Baptists in particular for that.

I think marijuana is stupid and a waste of ******* time. I have only tried it 1 time, and it sent me to the hospitsal with high blood pressure.  I think it should remain illegal.

Weed is safer for society than alcohol.  I'd say that info is out there because of the Constitution where it says the part about freedom of speech and freedom of the press and because people want that info.
