Why is whaling wrong?

i am doing a makah whale hunt essay and i want reasons for why whaling is wrong, why its ok, and your opinion. Please help me!!

I personaly think whaling is wrong,

sure people kill heaps of animals in the world

but there are tons of them though whales, sooner or later some sorts will be instinct

It is morally and ethically wrong. There is no need to kill these beautiful and endangered creatures for food, "research" or any other purpose. Japan hides their sick mass murder of these lovely intelligent & gentle animals under the guise of scientific research, when infact they are hunting them for delicacies for the rich. They also kill dolphins and market their flesh as whale meat. Watch Earthlings on you tube.

It's not simply "making a living". Whale meat is a luxurly item, it is not a neccessity it is a luxury. Along with fur, leather, silk meat and other animal products. Humans can live a more ecologically sustainable, moral and just lifestyle if they want to. People and industry are just too greedy to give up these non-essential luxuray items. We don't want *all* industry shut down, we simply want a more sustainable future where we don't plunder and destroy the earth.

It's not, whale meat is very tasty.  It is no different from fishing.

Liberals try to shut down any industry they can. Why? Because then they can have the socialistic state they always wanted.

What I'm getting at is. There is nothing wrong with whaling but the ones that are trying to stop it are playing on peoples emotions. This makes whaling one of the easier industries to attack.

I don't believe the people at the forefront of the movment care one bit about the whales.

When they have succeeded in stopping this means for people to make a living they will then go after another and then another. until enough people are out of work do to this or enviromental regulation or endangerd species regulation or some such.

Then people can only turn to the government for help and you end up with socialism.

There is nothing wrong with Whaling. If we can kill cows to make burgers, then the j**s can kill their whales for sushi. The sooner we accept this, the sooner we can get on with our lives and worry about world hunger rather than stupid whales
