Question:

Why is yahoo removing my personal pics?

I often see pics on 360 pages containing nudity. I had a pic of my self and significant other posted on my 360 page which contained no nudity (it showed a woman in a g-string with no genitalia exposed) and yahoo removed the photo. I also have another profile which had a pic cropped which showed no nudity. Who decides what is content appropiate and what is allowed to be posted. What are the guidelines (because TOS is very unclear). TOS says any adult content or nudity should be marked "Adult Content" if so then why are items posted on Adult Content pages removed. I'll admit to having a pic taken from the internet that displayed some Male Genatalia (obsiviously a cut and pasted photo) that may have been in question. But the personal pics of myself and my significant other contained no nudity and was a gross violation of my personal privacy. This type of censurship will result in myself personally terminating my yahoo account and going elsewhere. Any answer would be appriciated.

  1. Hi there

First of all yahoo has to many profiles to look into in daily basis, Yahoo does remove personal pictures from anyone profile when someone HAS report your page for abuse.

I have read the TOS guidelines several times and I do agree with you that many people have much worse than you probably had. I have seeing real p**n core pictures in people's backgrounds, personal pictures and blog entries.

My subjection is been always to not post seductive or nudity content pictures in a public profile.

There are many kids and under age kids around to expose them to that kind of content.

I think is wiser to close the blog and make it private and the settings just for your friends for people who choose to have an adult page profile.

That way no one is exposed to things they may find offensive and for the safe keeping of children.

And besides that ... This type of profiles will not be reporter as often "Unless your friends report them".

    Good luck to you.
