Why is yahoo weather report so so bad?

i looked at the yahoo weather for cleveland today and it says that the current temperature is 72 ... and the HIGH for today is 48 and the low is 36 ... someone needs to be better trained to tell the weather at yahoo

Its not just Yahoo.

I am in Devon and the weather forcast on BBC said it was going to rain today.

We have had a lovely sunny day.

i know! i remember they reported it's gonna rain fewdays ago here in Detroit but in fact, the sun shined so brightly! lol

Yahoo and all other online websites get their weather from the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service and all other websites up date their current conditions every hour. The forecast is only updated every 6 hours. So they could have only predicted it to be 48 degrees but it got up to 72 instead. I've seen that happen before.Or, there could have been no report available because maybe there was something wrong with the station and they were unable to get a report. Sometimes if there's a problem with the station, they won't up date the current conditions for days. So the observation you saw might not have been current. It could have been from a few days ago.

OK here is the REAL reason...

All TV, radio, news stations, even the weather channel get ALL their information from what is called the National Weather Service or NOAA, (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's). Even wesites like yahoo, google, msn, they all link to this information.

TV stations get information from the NOAA and just modify this info for local reports, your local weather, and look at the history to make educated guesses based on what is happing and what has happened in the past and the current info from the NOAA.

The NOAA has sucked at reporting current weather and making prodiction this year. After all this is ran by the US government so Bush has probley messed it up too...lol

Some people say it is due to globel warming...bull **** or not...the facts can go to support both sides weather that is happening and that is NOT happening.

So to answer your question it is not yahoo it is the NOAA that is not getting the prodictions right. Yahoo is telling us what the NOAA is saying...like speding rumors about what the weather is going to do.

The best way to tell the weather now is just look out the window...my kids got released from school 3 hours eary last week becasue we where going to have bad storms and we sunny all day. One of the best days of the week last week.
