Why is your body more likely to burn calories throughout the day if you workout in the morning?

I read this somewhere, and was wondering if it was true, and if so, why?

  1. Hey there ;) . well, don't know if this is going to help you or not but I have been on this weight loss road for soooo long now and have learned some things that work - some better.

    from experience I can say that working out in the morning on an empty stomache does give me better results. I asked my trainer why this happened and he stated that its because there is no food/fuel for your body to burn (empty stomache) so your body starts looking for resources - your stored fat.

    The best way to see? Work out in the evening for a week then move it the morning and check your progress - like with anything, its different for everybody!

  3. I have heard this as well, and the main reason is it gets your blood pumping.  It also seems to give you some energy to keep moving through the day instead of dragging.  But I exercise in the evening after the kids go to bed, and I have seen better results than working out in the morning.
