  1. Well since my land is uneven and sometimes has water standing a day or a few hours without it,I would be walking in mud.The lawn makes everything look nice and clean after a good mowing, and the expanse of green is cheerful all year, most all year. Its a cushion for backyard bbq's and games just another way to enjoy the great outdoors.

  2. It's my connection with "Mother Earth."  A lot of people admire beautiful meadows, plants & flowers so it's nice to see those things right outside your door.  It also adds to the value of the house if it is well maintained.

  3. Because it shows your neighbors how much you love your lawn :P

  4. Because my cats look so happy when they are stretched out on the lawn.  They like to nibble on it also- that's why no pesticide or fungicide.

  5. It isn't it is a waste of space and water. If I had the resources I would

dig it all up and replace it with native plants that I would not have to

water or mow. or else start a 'victory' garden. I don't give a d**n

what my neighbours think of my lawn.

  6. it makes my house look neat, and is restful to the eye.

  7. A nice lawn makes your home look real nice.

A lawn makes your house cooler in the summer.

  8. Because it shows that you take care of your things.  It is something that everyone going by your house looks at, and if you don't take care of your lawn it kind of makes people think that you are a slob.

  9. Because it says something about the owner.
