Why is your team the best?

Question

Ok, I have a hypothetical question here:

If I ever decided to change teams (Never going to happen!) who should I go for and why?

I want to see why people support their team, and why they stay loyal to their teams.

Just let me repeat one more time: I am not changing teams, you could never take the Collingwood out of me! :)

stay with the pies don't ever change. we have been in touch with the finals for quite awhile and are the only team to beat geelong this year and came close last year. and are the only team to win 4 premierships in a row! CARN THE PIES!!

West Coast would be the obvious choice for you - I think we are hated about as much as Collingwood so you wouldn't have to get used having the c**p pulled out of you at every available opportunity.

Seriously, At the moment, west Coast are going through some tough times but in the not too distant future, we will be clawing our way back and it is going to be a great club to be a part of. Some seriously good young guys coming through for us and that is always great to watch (I was at Wirrpanda's first game in WA - not for West Coast, for his WAFL Team - and I can still see him, clear as day, running down the wing, picking up the ball off the ground with one hand, without breaking stride and getting it off to his team mate. Simply Spectacular). We are a passionate bunch of supporters who will never give up on our team despite the actions of a small few who have now thankfully gone gone gone. And I think you would fit right in with us!! (hope you don't think  that is an insult to you!!!!)

I'm a richmond supporter and personally i recommend the tigers, we've got so much to play for, and our boys are not nearly at their peaks, with cotchin, deledio, white, foley and tambling i think we should have some very exciting years to come. And also i think our boys will want to do their bets for RICHO he's given so much to this club and not received a h**l of alot, so as he comes to the end of his carrier i think that they might pull out their best, just for him!!

If I had to recommend another club, it would definately have to be Kangas..they need all the supporters they can get - anything to help out a struggling Victorian side.

I have been so tempted so many times between 1964 and 2006 to change teams.  I was born in Richmond and always had a soft spot for them ... but there's been something about Geelong that has always been exciting to watch.  Don't know why that is - it's kind of like Fijian Rugby - they may not always win but it's been fun.  Even when we were absolute shite, we had Mark Jacko Jackson .... and noone else had him!!!

Now of course is the reward for loyalty.  I can enjoy this only coz I know what it's like to be on the other end.  I'd still love to see a Cats/Tigers granny with the Cats getting up by one in the last 5 seconds.

carlton coz they have had the 3 last years draft picks which are kruzer gibbs and muphy. we have a prmeiship and brownlow medalist juddy we have one of the best forwards in the leauge and our member ships out of the roof and i got the gurnsey and number 5 and everyones signature on it even judds one. i also think that carlton is a good team coz of it af l vfl history and last reason is ebcause their like out future premiers but the next looking james hird is gibbs hes polished and calm carrrrrrrrn   the blue baggggggggggers

BEST historical club.....we have won in almost every decade including: 1890's, 1900's, 1910's, 1920's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1980's, 1990's and finally 2000!! The only two decades we havnt won in was 1930's & 1970's

Last wooden spoon was in 1933!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every team spends time at the bottom of the ladder right? well Essendon in 2006 finished 15th coz we lost about 10 games under 18 points and 2007 we finished 12th!..........thats our share at the bottom.

clearly Essendon is the best historical club and carlton supporters please don't claim your any better, this is your best season in 8 years and your currently 11th!

I support my team mostly because they were the first w.a team, but I'm glad i do now, and not just because of that reason. i could have easily swapped teams when freo joined the afl but i didn't, also because eagles membership is to full captivity people buy freo membership so they can watch some footy live and before they not it their supporting freo, i could of not stuck up for them in the whole drug problem, but they truly are a great club. and its just made our supporters more passionate and loyal.

We are the most success full team going by how many premierships and how long we have be in the afl also no wooden spoon in our 21 year history (hopefully this year wont be our first). we also had to brown low medals in a row: Chris Judd 2004, Ben cousins 2005. many players have had very successful career and achieving everything there is to achieve (captain, premiership captain, brown low, 150 game etc.) and we have a amazing future ahead with the 2nd youngest team, some of the young guns are incredible, and look like their on the right track to become another cuzzy or kerr. also our membership is out the roof with 55,000 members, and richest club with 6 million profit last year! more then double that of the next team.

GO EAGLES!!

And you can never take the West Coast out of the West Australian!
