Why isn't Chinese Checkers more popular? No organizations or tournaments anywhere!?

  1. One snag regarding tournament play is that defense is too powerful.  You can play your marbles so as to completely block the other person from occupying all the necessary goal spaces.  I know of no good way to get around that problem without destroying some of the freedom of movement that makes the game fun.

    How about this rule: The game is won by player X when all the AVAILABLE spaces within the target triangle of player X are occupied by the marbles of player X.
