Why isn't Jimmy Lange still fighting?

The middleweight Jimmy Lange hasn't fought since May 12, 2007 when he TKOd Fontaine Cabell in the eighth round of their second fight. Has he retired?

i don't know if he's retired or not, but i do know that he turned promoter and has his own company

Lange has gone through a combination of personal and professional issues in recent months.  In the second Fontaine Cabell bout, Lange suffered a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder in the very first round of the contest.  He's had at least one surgery on that shoulder.  The shoulder has healed.

Lange has also had issues in his personal life as he has gone through some family issues that I can not go into detail on.

Happily, Lange said he hopes to get a bout in July and is slated to headline a show at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA in November.
