Why isn't Michael Phelps wearing his team suit anymore?

I noticed yesterday that Michael wasn't wearing his USA one anymore even though he had worn it during the 4x100 relay. Does anyone know if something happened to it or is he wearing the half one because it makes him go faster. I'm just curious.

Phelps just won his 8th medal in this olympics! He now has a total of 14 medals--6 from 2004.

Actually, the full team suits that cover the upper body makes him go faster. These suits are specially designed and cost about $500. They can be worn only up to about 6 times and they take 40 minutes to put on. You need a specialist to stretch the suit or something. The team suits he wore are modeled after the body of a shark and are made to increase speed by quite alot. Michael Phelps may have chose to wear the half suit as to be fair with the olympians of other countries.  He wore his half suit and full suit at different times it seems. People are now arguing whether he broke records because of the technologically enhanced full suit.

I think it's bcause it makes him go faster...

When you are wearing clothes when you are swimming,it makes you heavy and then you'll be slowed down....

prob makes him go faster. plus hes doing individual events now so he can wear what he choose to wear.
