Why isn't NASCAR in the OLYMPICS?

I mean could we actually have a REAL sport in the stupid OLYMPICS. I'm sick of seeing dancin' in the swimmin' pool or handball or beach volleyball... get real and get some auto racin goin on in China!

because in nascar, u dont prepare ur body, like work out, and u use ur muscles in the olympics u dont have a guy like tony stewert, in the olympics do u

well, check out the A1 GP in europe. each country has 2 cars that compete and its truly a world sport. It would be awesome to see this as a world event. like a 3-5 race series with point totals at the end for the medals!

The same reason F1, rally racing, motorcycles, and drag racing aren't.  Yes you have to be in good shape to do them all but the olympics are about human powered sports.

its americas sacred sport and to allow other countries access to it would be treason.  its just really for americans and i think that only americans with an exception of some other countries can do it. i just couldnt imagine the Chinese doing it either i think they wouldnt get it and probably turn it into drifting.  its also to difficult for other countries to get (like working with a pit crew, driving turns, fuel stratagy, etc.)

Because its more of a sport sport then an exercise sport...where people actually use their bodies and strength to move.

NASCAR is only an American sport.  NASCAR doesn't go to other continents.  If anything it would Formula 1 that would be an Olympic sport because it travels all over the world.

racing is not a sport, however synchronized swimming, handball, and beach volleyball are. why? because you use your body, its muscles you know?

I'm pretty sure NASCAR is only in the U.S. lol Europe does F1, F2, F3 stuff like that so it wouldn't work out but i would totally like seeing NASCAR in the Olympics or at least some form of auto racing.Dude are you serious NASCAR is a real sport. i race go karts and i go 100-120 and its hard. i can't imagine going 180 or 200 into a wall. they have to be really strong and patience so who ever says NASCAR ain't a sport they just don't know anything about it. so you all who think NASCAR isn't a sport why don't you go off and play chess or something.

Because you can not win a medal with the help of any electronics in the olympics so NASCAR will never be in the olympics.

It just won't work. I personally don't want it in there. It would be too hectic and think about what it would do to the schedule. It would s***w everything up. The Olympics are about people.. and their endurance and strength.. not a bunch of gas powered cars.

okay youre gonna say that it shouldnt be there because they drive cars and they dont use their bodies? what about snowmobiles in the winter olympics? they need to add nascar!!!!

They should put go-kart racing in the olympics...it'd be cool. Representing for America would be a NASCAR driver, for another country would be like an  American LeMans Series driver, there could be an F1 driver for France...all different types of racing drivers in go-karts representing their racing series' country! that would be sick
