Why isn't NBC showing more Wimbledon?

I know that Oprah is a ratings hog but are some soap operas and that stupid Rachel Ray show really better than Wimbledon?

NBC is getting just as bad as Tennis Channel.  Showing taped matches, instead of live tennis. After the rain delay, they were showing Federer at 1-1 2nd set. Meanwhile he was serving for the match in the 3rd, live. At least ESPN got it right and on top of the hour, showed Nadal, live, at start of 2nd set, rather than show beginning of match.

If you really want to know, ask the network executives. There many factors that determine what sporting events a network will carry.

I agree with the other responder, I think it's because NBC wants to show the soap opera. I kinda think it's a little stupid of them. I mean, they can not show the soap for like a week, it's not like they don't have the rest of the year to show it. They can also move it to a later time slot, but no-- they don't care. I definitely think they should cover more Wimbledon.

My respond may seem negative, but I just want to be honest.

Well this housewife was very bummed when NBC didn't show Nadal against Murray after Federer's game! I know last year they canned the soaps and showed much more tennis. I wish they would have done it this year too.
