The candidates were pressed on their stances on abortion and were even asked what they would do if their own daughters were raped and became pregnant.

Palin said she would support abortion only if the mother's life was in danger. When it came to her daughter, she said, "I would choose life."

This quote indicates that she does not support abortion in cases of rape and incest. Why isn't she getting slammed for this.

Maybe because the Vast Majority of abortions are NOT incest or rape.  And also, when a person is pregnant it is only for such a TINY percentage of their life ... what's the difference between giving a month of your life to the child and giving 9 months of your life...

And how about the FACT that unborn babies are HUMAN BEINGS who have the right to live also?  It is murder to kill any human... even when the government says it's okay.

That quote on its own does not speak to how she will legistlate. It speaks to her personal convictions!

I am in favor of allowing early term abortions to be strictly between the woman & her doctor, but after that, I can't help but think, should the child be killed because of what the father did?

Because life is not an accident. while i personally could never teall a rape victim she had to carry the baby you also need to understand this is such a small percentage of abortions it is almost laughable to be your main defense. The problem with abortion is that it should have been decided by the states themselves not ruled as a constitutional right.

Each state legally could decide the particulars. When dems tell you McCain wants to end it they are lying. He wants the faulty supreme court descision based on privacy issues overturned and lets states decide for themselves what is legal for themselves.

I've always thought that the "pro choice" label was completely misused.

Liberals don't really want choice, they want abortions. They attack and demean anyone that thinks that killing a viable fetus in the third trimester of pregnancy is infanticide.

I wonder how many of you pompous, self righteous, "pro choice", blowhards have ever seen a partial birth abortion performed?

The problem with allowing phrases like "when the health of the mother is involved" is that it can be interpreted so incredibly loosely.

Ya know, I am really looking forward to seeing how the liberals handle their campaigns now that they actually have to go up against one of those people that "cling to their guns and their bibles".

Thats her belief, where in the interview does she say that's what all American should believe?

Believe it or not a lot of women fell the same way.  A lot of women choose to keep babies that were conceived by rape or incest.  Are they wrong too do so?

The thing about the "Choice" the left want women to have is the same one people like Palin have.  Palin's "Choice" is to keep the Baby.  Just because it is not YOUR "choice" does not make it wrong.

Because this country isn't 100% communist, yet, and families still get to control what goes on inside the family unit. She's saying that's what's right in her family. What you do with your family, in the same situation is up to you.

First: She said she would CHOOSE it.

Second: Do something about the 98% of abortions performed NOT because of rape or incest THEN you can talk about that other 2%.

Third: There has been a pro-life President for 8 years and there are still over a million abortions performed each year in this country alone. You needn't lose a wink of sleep over the possibility of any interference to this practice by the next president.
